Specialist surgeon visits Yotkom fortnightly offering complex surgical proceedures. A experienced Ophthalmologist visits monthly for general surgery and eye care

Mortuary

Construction in 2024 of the only cold room mortuary in the NE Acholi region providing service to over 35 grieving families per month

24/7 Emergency Department

Ambulance Services

Out Patient Services

We support over 23,000 patients annually

In patient services

Over 4000 admissions annually. WHO category A+ hospital including a high dependency unit to serve the most acutely unwell

Orthopaedic and Trauma services

Yotkom has a well equipped operating theatre and is a referral centre for the region due to the high quality care given

Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy

Antenatal spaces, delivery suites, operating theatre and neonatal care. 1700+ antenatal visits, 270+ births and 70+ Caesarean sections annually

Counselling and Chaplaincy Services

Addressing issues of anxiety, depression, PTSD and domestic violence

Community Health

Prevention and education onsite as well as FM broadcasts twice weekly to over a million people

Immunisation services including outreach

Antenatal spaces, delivery suites, operating theatre and neonatal care. 1700+ antenatal visits, 270+ births and 70+ Caesarean sections annually

Specialised HIV/TB services and outreach

Testing, Antiretroviral therapy, contact tracing, PMTCT (Prevention of mother to child transmission) and EID (Early infant diagnosis)

Eye Clinic outreach

Antenatal spaces, delivery suites, operating theatre and neonatal care. 1700+ antenatal visits, 270+ births and 70+ Caesarean sections annually

Scholarship Program

Available for selected team members to undertake further professional training

Compassionate Fund

Specific support raised to facilitate life changing medical treatments for the very poor in the community - Sickle Cell patients – 130+ families are enrolled in our care program for these vulnerable children - Ambulance transfer to higher level centres for investigations and treatment - Assisting with Orthopaedic surgery for those with long term disability

Yotkom Agriculture and sustainability Project

A tree farm has been established with the strategic goal to provide a future income stream for the hospital
